Well, one fact knits us together. We are all human beings created in the image of God. No one chose where to be born. To be born in either of the two worlds is purely our creator’s decision. The human society is built on the building blocks of love. But love without taking a positive action is nothing. For those who were born in the land of plenty, we need to be grateful to God for such a gracious deed. Enjoying ourselves to the full without thinking of our poor desperately hungry brothers in the other side of the world does not bring real fulfillment.
Have you ever observed the affluent but selfish people who care list about the suffering world? They seem to be at peace but there is something missing inside. Their family lives are plagued with divorces. Their children are rebellious and are easily addicted to drugs. Families are plagued with disputes between members and the list goes on and on and on…
On the contrary, those open hearted people who love to help others may not accumulate much riches but are blessed. Their lives are full of love and joy. The love between the spouses seem to increase day by day. Their children are godly and obedient. Family members live alongside one another in peace and harmony. Chronic incurable diseases scarcely catch them etc.
The children born in a disadvantaged side of the world deserve a chance to change their world. Without education this will never take place. Actually without food their young brains may never develop to their full capacity. Unless someone steps in to break the vicious poverty cycle this suffering will continue unabated. Do not wait for someone else to step in. You can search for genuine charity organizations and start donating. You can get linked to individual children and become a personal donor.
Putting smiles on the faces of those children will bring a smile on your face too. Those who have learned about the unchangeable universal laws will understand that whatever you plant is what you harvest. In this case you are planting joy and hope in others. As you do it expect to reap the same in abundance. Your misery will start vanishing away and before you know it you will be living a life of joy and peace.
